Do you specialize in contract or full-time (direct) placement?
We specialize in both contract and direct placement.
What type of consultants does Solving IT work with?
We hire full-time employees on an hourly (W2) or corp-to-corp basis.
Do you specialize in any specific technologies or industries?
No. We work with a variety of clients in different industries and technical environments. We pride ourselves on finding the most ideal consultants to match the specific technical needs of clients in a wide spectrum of industries.
Will you or your clients hire consultants with little to no professional experience?
Typically, our clients come to us for experienced consultants who are able to ‘hit the ground running’ based on their extensive background and technical expertise. Although we do receive requirements for more junior-level consultants, these requirements normally call for at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
Are there any benefits to being an hourly consultant of Solving IT?
Absolutely. We offer a great health and dental benefit package at a discounted cost. You are also eligible to participate in our 401k Plan after one year of service, which includes a matching donation percentage from Solving IT. We consider you a valuable member of our team, and provide opportunities (lunches, networking sessions, events) for you to get to know us and your fellow consultants better.
Do you provide any training?
We provide compensation for relevant technical training for our consultants, based on the situation and need.
Do I get paid time and a half for time worked over 40 hours?
Any Computer Professional making more than $27.63 per hour is compensated straight time pay for any work exceeding 40 hours in a week’s period.
When are timesheets due and where do they need to be sent to?
Timesheets are due no more than three business days after the end of the pay period and they must be turned in to Solving IT corporate headquarters or faxed to 312-228-9501.
When and how often am I paid as a consultant with Solving IT?
Solving IT pays their consultants bi-monthly on the 15th of the month and the last day of the month. If this date falls on the weekend or a holiday you will be paid the business day before in most cases.
How do I sign up for direct deposit?
Every new hire packet should include the required form required to submit for direct deposit. If you did not sign up for direct deposit upon hire please contact our corporate office to make arrangements to sign up for this benefit.
When do I become eligible for medical and dental benefits?
Every Solving IT employee is eligible to receive benefits on the first day of the month following your first 30 days of employment.
Does Solving IT provide career assistance services?
Yes. We provide extensive career assistance for candidates interested in furthering their careers in information technology.
Do I have to apply multiple times to be considered for multiple jobs?
No. It is not necessary to apply multiple times. Our recruiting specialists match you to all available openings. It’s our job to find the most possible matches for you!
How long will my resume stay active in your job database?
Your resume will be active in our job database for 60 days. If you're interested in another job after this 60-day time frame, please submit your resume again.
Are there any fees associated with your services to the job seeker?
All recruiting and online services are offered at no cost.
